Disadvantaged young people have faced the most difficulties such as lack of internet access, lack of quiet learning spaces, and not having Free School Meals. By keeping exams on, the Government is making this unfair system even unfairer.
Why won’t Gavin listen?
By using Teacher Assessed Grades, schools can close to reduce the spread of COVID 19, and efforts can be made to ensure grading is as fair as possible. Coursework, internal assessments, and individual circumstances during the pandemic should all be taken into account.
The pandemic has negatively affected student mental health, when health services are already stretched from years of cuts.
